Mental health and wellbeing - Headspace can help if you’re experiencing significant changes in thoughts, feelings and/or behaviour, if you’re being bullied, hurt or harassed or just not feeling yourself. General health - Headspace has youth friendly general practitioners (GPs) and health nurses who can help with any physical health issues. A GP can also help you with issues related to contraception, sexual health, drug or alcohol use, relationship problems or
feeling down or upset. Alcohol and other drug services - If drugs and alcohol are starting to affect things that matter to you, like your mental health, wellbeing or friendships, headspace can help. Work, school and study - headspace work and study specialists can help you if you’re struggling at school, unsure what course you want to do, need a hand writing a resume, or if you are searching for a job.

NewAccess - (02) 6923 3195 -
NewAccess is a free program developed by beyondblue and established in partnership with the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) which aims to assist individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety, depression and life stresses. Our program is available to individuals aged 16 years and older who live in the Murrumbidgee and Riverina. Participants do not require GP referrals or Mental Health Treatment Plans, and they do not have to be Australian citizens. The Intereach NewAccess Coaches are trained to provide Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and are committed to assisting people throughout the region. Our coaches are located in Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Deniliquin; but can assist individuals throughout the region via the use of telephone sessions. To find out more about the program, visit

When you’re looking after a family member who is living with a mental illness, it can take its toll on your own health, wellbeing and life goals. Ensuring that you get the support and respite you need so you can be the best version of yourself for your loved one is paramount; so who cares for the carers? One Door has a range of services on offer for the families of people with mental illness. From respite through to advocacy and education. Just because your loved one is living with a mental illness does not mean you can’t achieve your goals. We’re here to support you too. Grow is a national organisation that provides a peer supported program for growth and personal development for people with a mental illness and those experiencing difficulty in coping with life’s challenges.  Grow groups offer the opportunity for people to share challenges and solutions for recovery in a supportive and structured way.  Meetings are held weekly.  Group members use Grow’s 12 Step Program as a means of change and personal growth.  Grow is free to join and you don’t need a referral or diagnosis.  You are very welcome to just come along and join in. Grow meets every Tuesday at 6.30pm at the 'Cubby House', behind the Griffith Neighbourhood House, 80 Benerembah St, Griffith.

ROAR Humanitarian Program - 1300 488 226 -
ROAR Humanitarian program is a free service where it aims to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people from refugee backgrounds.It provides early intervention support to people up to the age of 18, who may be showing early signs of, or are at risk of developing a mental health issue. We aim to include family members to help support the young person.

Mighty Minds - Emotional Wellbeing Program for Children - via Janelle White for under 12s - (02) 964 3610 or 0408 257 888 
The Mighty Minds Programs provides children under 12 and their parents with access to evidence based short term focussed psychological strategies.  The program is aimed towards children who have or are at risk of developing mental, emotional or behavioural disorders.  The child does not need to have a formal diagnosis.  Mighty Minds also works with the family and/or caregivers to assist them in providing better support to the child.
