Grow is a national organisation that provides a peer supported program for growth and personal development for people with a mental illness and those experiencing difficulty in coping with life’s challenges. Grow groups offer the opportunity for people to share challenges and solutions for recovery in a supportive and structured way. Meetings are held weekly. Group members use Grow’s 12 Step Program as a means of change and personal growth. Grow is free to join and you don’t need a referral or diagnosis. The Griffith Specialist Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Service provides assessment, support and treatment for people experiencing severe or complex mental health issues and those with drug and alcohol dependency. They provide a service to people living within the Griffith Catchment (including Leeton, Narrandera, Barellan, Coleambally, Hillston and Lake Cargelligo between the hours of 8.30 am to 5pm weekdays).

The service helps children and young people, adults and older people. The team includes nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, psychologists and psychiatrists. The consumer peer worker provides encouragement, support and hope to consumers. Families and carers can access support through our partner organisations. Services provided at Centre: specialist adult mental health services, child & adolescent mental health services, specialist mental health services for older people, youth mental health, perinatal mental health – for women who are pregnant and mothers of children under 2 years of age, family & carer support, consumer advocacy, specialist drug & alcohol services and opioid treatment (Methadone and Buprenorphine).http://www.mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au

Reach Out and Relax (ROAR) is a program that supports young people and their families through early signs of, or becoming at risk of developing a mental health issue. The service provides short or long term support. It’s free and confidential. If you feel down or anxious or are not coping at school, not sleeping well, or sleeping too much, or if you find it hard to concentrate, being bullied, hurt or sexually harassed, if you are eating too much or too little, wanting to cut down your drinking/drug use, or have relationship difficulties, then this service is for you.
